Research Grants

George J. Wile established the Local Initiative for Excellence (L.I.F.E.) Foundation in 2014 with a mission to support research to achieve better health outcomes for patients with brain and neurodegenerative disease. This will be accomplished by providing research grants to support innovative research, to sustain productive research teams and to encourage and support investigators in the early part of their career.

L.I.F.E. Foundation

In 2018 the foundation expanded it's mission and began a relationship with Northern Kentucky University to support merit based scholarships, research stipends, and computational resources for undergraduate students who exhibit the qualities necessary to eventually pursue a PhD and become successful researchers who advance biomedical research using computational approaches. The purpose to create future scientists who will become leaders in computational biomedicine.

Focused on providing fundamental knowledge about the brain, disorders, and treatments.
